Industrial AI applications
Cooling Fans for Industrial AI
Application scenarios and selection considerations for edge computing devices, machine-vision systems, control cabinets and power electronics.
Industrial AI supports predictive maintenance, machine-vision inspection, process optimization, energy management, production scheduling and safety monitoring. The computing, control and power electronics behind these functions generate heat that must be managed within the equipment enclosure.
JyFan AC and DC axial fan families can be considered for thermal management in compact sensor modules, edge computing devices, industrial control cabinets and larger power enclosures. The appropriate fan depends on the heat load, enclosure airflow resistance, electrical supply and operating environment.

- Cooling task
- Ventilate battery management system electronics, inverter control enclosures and edge gateways. This application concerns electronics cooling rather than battery-cell cooling.
- Selection considerations
- Check cabinet heat load, inlet temperature, service access and the need for fan-speed control or fault monitoring.
Mining
- Typical applications
- Mine-site monitoring, AI ore-sorting equipment and safety-monitoring cabinets.
- Cooling task
- Provide forced ventilation for industrial control enclosures and data-processing electronics in suitably protected installations.
- Reference fan series
- Large AC axial fan families; final model to be selected.
- Selection considerations
- Assess abrasion, dust, moisture and vibration. Underground or hazardous locations require application-specific equipment approval.
Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices
- Typical applications

- Cooling task
- Cool AI inspection instruments and compact control electronics where space and acoustic performance are important.
- Reference fan series
- Miniature and medium-size DC fan families; assess low-noise and ball-bearing options.
- Selection considerations
- Check particle-control needs, cleanability, noise and equipment compliance. Fan selection alone does not establish medical-device suitability.

- Selection considerations
- Check humidity, condensation, corrosive atmospheres and enclosure ingress protection before selecting an open-air ventilation approach.
Selection & certification
Define the cooling requirement before selecting a model
Heat load & inlet temperature
Estimate component heat dissipation and the permitted temperature rise. Forced ventilation is suitable only when the available inlet air can provide useful cooling.
Airflow at operating pressure
Use the fan performance curve at the system operating point. Filters, grilles, ducts and densely packed components can substantially reduce delivered airflow.
Mechanical & electrical integration
Confirm dimensions, mounting, supply voltage and frequency where relevant, starting current, connector and cable routing. Check speed-control and alarm interfaces if required.
Environment & service life
Assess temperature, humidity, condensation, dust, vibration and corrosive exposure. Select the appropriate bearing arrangement and plan access for cleaning or replacement.
Noise & equipment requirements
Review acoustic targets and enclosure resonance. Verify any ingress-protection, hazardous-area, hygiene or equipment-specific requirements for the installation.
Model documentation & performance
Review the exact variant’s dimensions and performance curve, then validate it in the assembled equipment.
